Evaluation Period: 90-day evaluation period required

Job Description:

Arroyo Process Equipment is seeking an experienced Gearbox Technician to join our team at the Bartow location. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of rotating mechanical equipment. This role involves both hands-on mechanical work and the ability to accurately inspect and evaluate various mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Precision Measurement: Proficient in reading and using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, inside and outside calipers, and veneer calipers.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Welding & Fabrication: Basic welding knowledge and the ability to perform layout work and fabrication.
• Cutting Torch: Skilled in using a cutting torch for various applications.
• Bearing Work: Experience with bearing induction heaters and presswork.
• Inspection & Evaluation: Capable of inspecting and evaluating a wide variety of rotating mechanical equipment.
• Forklift Operation: Proficient in operating a forklift.
• Overhead Cranes: Experience in operating overhead cranes.
• Travel & Overtime: Willingness to undertake some out-of-town work and occasional overtime/weekend work as needed.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of backlash, mounting distance, bearing float, and bearing/gearing failure.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Overview: Arroyo Process Equipment is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Team Member at our Bartow location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the effective handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining the integrity of inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for discrepancies and damages, reporting any issues as necessary.
• Prepare and pack orders for shipment, ensuring they meet company standards and customer requirements.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery to move stock and organize inventory within the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of stock, shipments, and receipts through our inventory management system.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Assist in inventory counts and stock checks to ensure accuracy and accountability.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a similar role preferred.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and basic computer applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and be eager to hone their professional skills. Candidates must have a valid Florida driving license, as they will be driving a work truck.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, catalog, and update internal software systems of incoming breakdown, evaluation, and repair equipment
• Build pump units/packages according to specifications and customer requirements
• Provide technical services and support to customers, addressing any questions or concerns
• Collaborate with account managers and clients to ensure timely and efficient repairs of equipment
• Maintain accurate records of repair and service work, including parts and labor
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Continuously work to improve processes and increase efficiency within the department
• Drive company work truck to customer sites, as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2-3 years of experience in pump service, repair, or a related field
• Valid Florida driving license and a clean driving record
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with learning new software systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required
