Redefine efficiency with top-quality rotating equipment and services
Optimize refrigeration processes with equipment that ensures precise compression, controlled fluid flow, efficient heat transfer, and reliable energy conversion, resulting in improved cooling performance, reduced energy consumption, and enhanced overall system efficiency. By achieving optimal refrigeration cycles, ammonia-based systems can meet stringent cooling requirements with minimal environmental impact.
The Manufacturing Process
Create economies of scale across your system
Each of these stages requires specific types of industrial rotating equipment. Proper operation and maintenance of this equipment is vital for the efficiency, safety, and profitability of the ammonia manufacturing process.
Haber-Bosch Process
Ammonia is primarily produced industrially using the Haber-Bosch process, which combines nitrogen and hydrogen under high pressure and temperature in the presence of a catalyst. The compressors and pumps in this process are examples of rotating machinery.
Compressors
Compressors are used to compress the reactant gases (hydrogen and nitrogen) to high pressures, a necessary condition for the Haber-Bosch process. They also compress the final product, ammonia, for storage and transportation.
Mixers & Agitators
These are used to ensure the thorough mixing of hydrogen and nitrogen gases before they are introduced to the reactor.
Heat Exchangers
These devices control the temperature during the process, as the reaction is exothermic. Some designs may involve rotating parts to enhance heat transfer efficiency.
Pumps
Pumps are used to move fluids around the plant, including for cooling purposes, for moving condensed ammonia, and for handling any byproducts or waste streams.
Centrifugal Separators
These are used in gas separation processes, to separate unreacted gases and recycle them back into the system.
Steam Turbines
These may be used to generate the electricity needed to run the plant, especially in facilities that aim to be energy-efficient or partially self-sustaining.
Maintenance & Cleaning
Rotating machinery like pressure washers and rotary brushes are used for the cleaning and maintenance of other manufacturing equipment.
